A Bridge Torn is the forthcoming debut fantasy novel from JP Maranda. It explores themes of self-trust, and the choice each of us must make whether to acquiesce to the roles and expectations that have been ascribed to us by society, or to decide for ourselves what paths we will take, and with whom. 

Readers will recognize some familiar faces from the old Norse myths, and will be led on an adventure by some new characters that seem to have always belonged in those stories. It blends the present-day world we know with mythical realms of the gods and giants with all their magic in an action-filled race to prevent the unmaking of the world.
